Dr. Mohammad Felo

Dr. Mohammad Felo is a German board-certified consultant interventional cardiologist and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).

Dr. Felo moved to Germany in the late 1990s and graduated from Goethe University’s medical school in Frankfurt am Main.

Following that, he completed cardiology and advanced interventional sub-speciality training at leading high-volume centres across Germany. Dr. Mohammad Felo has extensive interventional experience. His specialisation includes the management of ischemic heart disease therapy, including acute heart attacks and complex coronary cases. Dr. Felo is a member of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI).

Dr. Felo is highly skilled in cardiovascular ultrasound, holding an instructor degree in the field from the German Society of Sonography (DEGUM), and is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE). He has mentored and instructed numerous resident doctors in this field. Additionally, he is certified in the field of cardiac MRI from the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SMCR Level II) and in coronary CT scan from the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (BSCI Level II).

After 21 years in Germany, he relocated to the United Arab Emirates, where he worked for two years in Dubai before moving to Mediclinic Welcare Hospital. Dr. Felo is trilingual, speaking Arabic, English, and German.

    • Angioplasty (stenting), experience treating complex coronary lesions, bifurcation lesions, left main lesions, and acute coronary syndromes. Proficiency with the Trans-radial approach (TRA)
    • Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography
    • Stress echocardiography and contrast echocardiography
    • Arterial and venous duplex ultrasound
    • Cardiac MRI, SCMR Level II certification
    • Coronary CT angiogram, BSCI Level II certification
    • Pharmacologic and electric cardioversion
    • Device (PM, ICD, CRT) interrogation
